Arsenal have opened talks with RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko over a move to Stamford Bridge, with the forward set to leave the Bundesliga side this summer.

However, talks are still at an early stage as the Gunners look to bolster their attacking options after failing to secure silverware last season.

They had bids rejected for the 21-year-old in May and during the January transfer window.

Although they were impressive in knocking out holders Real Madrid en route to the Champions League semi-finals, they came unstuck against PSG. 

However, the potential signing of Sesko would represent a major coup for Arsenal, who have a new sporting director in Andrea Berta this summer following the mid-season departure of Edu. 

The north London side have already looked to bolster their attacking options in January, with bids for Sesko and Aston Villa striker Ollie Watkins both rejected.
