Flick doesn’t rule out Ansu Fati staying at Barca.

Hans Flick insists Ansu Fati future decision is up to the player to decide. Barcelona manager Hansi Flick has revealed. He has discussed Ansu Fati’s role at the club and insists the 22-year-old forward is happy to remain at the club amid speculation. He could move on in January, Diario Sport reported on Friday.

‘For me, it’s always important to tell the truth to the players and I told Ansu the truth. Of course, it’s his decision and we talked about the possibilities and the different ways we can handle this situation.’

‘If he wants to stay here, that’s fine. He’s from La Masia. He grew up here and we’ll look after him and he might come back as we want to see.’ 

‘This is professional football, performances are important. Our job is to help the players and we try to improve them and make them better. Ansu is not the only one, I like to help him,’ Flick said.

Asked directly whether he would be open to Ansu Fati leaving if the player asked him whether it was on loan or permanent. The German replied: ‘If I think about it, it’s not happening now.
